Snow

Well I guess I am really stuck in the house. I am sure you have read about the Buffalo area being hit hard with the snow. six feet in many areas and today and tomorrow another 2-3 feet. the city just might break a total snowfall in such a short time the record is in 1921 90 plus inches. The Bills are as of now offering like the Packers 10 dollars an hour to dig out the stadium. I do not think the game will be played Sunday at 1:00 pm. (although the weather is to be in the 40's with some sun. but the entire city area roads are just to much snow. We have 3 groups of trucks and EMT;s with the mini cats that can run over deep snow and travel in water with enough room to let EMT work on a person . just traveling there is a big trip the roads and wind and snow is unreal. wish us luck!

Wishing you luck. Stay safe. There's nothing worth going outside to risk your life. I've been through some heavy snowfalls, but nothing rivals what you're talking about. That's just plain crippling.

the record for most snowfall in a season is 1140 inches , which happened in the 1998-99 season at Mount Baker Ski area in Washington state. thats 95 feet, or 10 basketball hoops stacked on top of each other, the snow would come up halfway to the highest hoop.

not sure where to put this,, but how many people believe in global warming? I see the weather changing a lot and it is starting to take its toll on Baseball due to heavy rain and winds. What is the feelings here ? Do you think the weather is getting more unpredictable and changing enough to change the sports being played? (i noticed the Vikings new stadium is having problems with its new roof already)
