Wilson made some great plays...but really didn't need to do much in that one. He is a great player and class act though.
As for the tackling...I think Seattle does it well (SF IMO is a better tackling team). Seattle still has too many that drop their heads and just go for the big hits. Helps that they are some fierce dudes and it works. But see often where they don't wrap up.
The other thing I took from this game was the strength of the NFC. SF nearly beats Seattle...GB nearly beats SF...very good close tough fought games. The Broncos really didn't have a tough game or opponent through the playoffs at all.

It isn't how many times you have to go to the well to make a good play. It's how many times you succeed, and fail. When you consistently make the play, there are fewer that need to be made, because the game comes to you, you don't have to reach to make things happen. That's the way Bevel runs the offense. It's a low-key game. Yet, over the course of the year, Wilson made plays when he had to, and that was one of the reasons they got where they did.
Yes, the Seahawks go for the big hits, but they can afford to, because they swarm to the ball, and if a guy doesn't bring a person down, there's another guy there to finish them off. That's what we didn't see with the Packers. They didn't fly around on defense, making those plays.
The NFC won the match up of leagues 34-30, and the two best divisions in the NFL are th NFC West & NFC South. Beyond that, a good balance in the middle, with the weaker end being a little more oriented towards the AFC.
The best thing I heard, amongst all the prognosticators, and I agree. "It's a matter of match-ups. How does your team match up with the other team, and what weaknesses do you need to exploit on the other team, and shore up on your own."
I'm afraid the Broncos went into this game believing it was going to be a shootout, and they'd win. They never figured the Seahawks would be able to stop them by applying such enormous pressure on Manning. It's been a long time since I've seen him that frustrated by what was happening on the field, and to him, as he came unglued on several plays, making rookie mistakes.
I wonder.... based on what we know, and saw..... if they played again, in 3 weeks, what would happen? It would be one helluva game, in my opinion.

Watching...looked like Manning simply didn't have the arm strength yesterday to challenge.
And yeah, matchups matter. its why we couldn't compete with Detroit with Flynn...but he could do so well against other defenses.
Id also like to see this Packers offense at full strength against Seattle. With the run game now and the weapons. WRs better get physical though. I just think Rodgers would matchup better with his mobility than Manning.

It would be an interesting game - Packers vs Seahawks - Packers healthy. If I picked two things they are better at, it would be pass rush, and tackling. I guess I'd also add that they have bigger and stronger safeties. That can be a real asset.
