I've never served but I have the utmost respect for those that do and did. I can't even comprehend the sacrifices that have been made for our freedom. A sincere thank you!  |

I spent a lot of time remembering old friends who served with me, and never came home. Then I thought about my own son who came back from Afghanistan earlier this year, and I was so thankful.
So many. We've been blessed having so many Americans who have defended their nation.

my paternal grandfather spent time in Bavaria doing mop-up duty after Germany surrendered. he was there for maybe a year before coming back. hes going to be 87 in January and not in the best of health. I lost my maternal grandfather a month ago, so i know only too well that the reaper comes for us all.
