what are your thoughts on the verdict? I think the kid did start the problem, not verbally maybe, but he started the fight. should he have been shot? i really do not know, was Zimmerman in fear for his life? could he have run away? could the kid just have shut up and went home? walked away? (you what they say,, takes a better man to walk away from a fight,,,) any way, i think nobody will know what really did happen. both were at fault. but was it to the point of ones death?

Moral of the Story: Associate with people who don't mumble and can't read, they make piss poor, eye "witnesses."
Life Lesson Learned: Don't beat up on pee-wee herman-like wannabe cops. A life time of being bullied may come to bear in the form of a bullet in your chest.
Social Story Told: Don't pick a fight in a "Conceal and Carry" state. Your bad ass may get laid out for the coroner.
Racial Lesson Expressed: A "Not Guilty" verdict may not help you when the President and Attorney General are black. Civil rights charges anyone?

I didn't watch the trial so I don't know all of the specifics. Everything I've heard and read about it sounds like the state did not meet the burden of proof.

Cripes, most of the Prosecution witnesses bolstered Zimmerman's story, most notably that Travyon Martin was on top of Zimmerman knocking the snot out of him.

I listened to the condensed testimony, and listened to the 911 tapes, and quite honestly, I think he was innocent of the charges, as stated.
But, the whole problem is really the gun laws, and nobody seems to want to address that issue.
I wonder if Zimmerman would have been as brave when it came to following the young man, if he wouldn't have been armed?
As far as the "civil rights issue," and "racism," as being thrown around, I don't think that was the case. Everyone seems to be forgetting that a black woman on the jury found him not guilty.
Let's hope people keep the reality of the issue in front of themselves, not this radical opinion that it's time to riot everywhere to "prove a point," which proves nothing except some people want to break the law, despite not having a clue as to what they really should be saying.
I say... change the damned gun laws! We don't need every yahoo on the street carrying a gun!

to bad , much of todays world here in America is about demanding instead of finding a solution for all. the press makes money by splitting the people and making issues when there should be none believe it or not, evil is splitting or tearing this world apart. it is winning more and more.

I see that the one black juror says she went by the law. Not her heart or gut . otherwise she would have voted another way. Good thing they make laws to go by?
