More people are killed by mistakes made by Doctors than by guns in the US, every year. Time to lay to rest the complaints that malpractice insurance costs too much.
About 80% of all the people getting food assistance in the US are members of families that has at least one person working full time. In many cases, two people working full time, since 32 hours a week is now considered a full-time job, for reasons of avoiding giving fringe packages.
Less than 7% of the money spent on welfare goes to people who are not really trying to get ahead. As far as the total percentage of the national budget, it amounts to something like less than 1/100 of 1% of the total monies handed to other nations dictators and despots, as "bribes" to keep them our friends, and ostensibly shown as "aid."
In December 2001, the Bush administration pushed and got China admitted to the WTO, as a full member. From that point on, the US and European economy has been on a constant decline, as manufacturing moved quickly from our countries to China, where they could exploit cheap labor, and duty taxes wouldn't apply to those products manufactured in the names of American based companies.
During that same era, the tax cuts given to the wealthy, which was supposed to generate jobs in America, was actually invested in Chinese manufacturing, not the US, and led to even more loss of American jobs.
You want to fix our problems? Realize, for openers, that we have more welfare, more unemployment, and less tax money to cover government needs, because of the stupidity of government in allowing the Chinese to dominate our markets with products.
We need to address this, and put taxes back in place on those who are wealthy, and skating by at the expense of what was the average American.
