If you want to hear the entire Republican platform, and intent, watch two episodes of In the Heat Of the Night from 1993.
Leftover Man part 1 & part 2.
The entire premise of the campaign speeches, and direction traveled by the racist whites in the show sounds exactly like the intent of the Republicans in 2012.
They even identify their intent as being "conservative," not patriotic.

You really gotta stop watching that show. I don't know how many times you've cited it. However, I do agree with you that the producers of the re-booted Battlestar Galactica were racist. They got rid of a black Boomer and a black Colonel Tigh from 1978 and replaced one with an Asian and another with a white female; not one African American as a main character.

I've cited it often? I have on a few occasions, but that's only because it deals with southern issues with whites and blacks.
I'm just pointing out the fact that nothing has changed with southern whites. What was stated in 1993, in a TV show, is exactly the crap they are pushing now.
As far as the sci fi show, I like shows that deal more with reality. I can't even say I've ever been a "fan" of the Star Treks, or any of the rest of them.
I do enjoy English comedy and the such. Don't enjoy war movies, nor do I enjoy shows that don't emulate life to at least a degree of reality.
I "hate" reality shows. It's nothing more than people showing how freaking dumb they really are.

There was a British show about 20 years ago that I always used to watch. They'd zing the Germans every chance they got; was great fun.

Several of them back then. Are You Being Served comes to mind as the one that really knocked them.
