Let's premise my statement by saying that I have friends whose lives were pretty much destroyed by agent orange, and our government did absolutely nothing to help them, or protect them, after exposing them, to this problem. Now, with a clear conscience, our government turns to what I classify as "the enemy," to give them solace for what happened 40 years ago. What bothers me is that our government has done so little for our own people, but so much for a communist nation, we have called the enemy. It's as bad as our sell out to the Japanese, that put men who fought against them during WWII in a position where they were required to give them obedience in the work place to keep their jobs. I'm sick of our hypocrisy! www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-19190509

It is in all avenues of our government. Much of the foreign aid given slaps most Americans in the face when it comes to common decency and fairness.
I wholeheartedly agree with you and I feel history gets re-written when our government acts in this manner.
