Harry Reid stated that he has information that indicated Romney hasn't paid taxes in ten years. He won't produce his source, or evidence, indicating what he said is true. Instead, it sits out there like a fog over both parties. If you lean left, you feel obligated to believe Reid. If you lean right, you're obligated to support the Republicans calling Reid a liar. In either case, it's obvious nobody except Reid, knows if he's lying or telling the truth. Since this is the direction politics has gone - nothing but negative press, forget about having a real platform for the future - I don't expect this issue will ever be really resolved. It's going to fester until someone finally gets their hands on copies of Romney's taxes over the last decade, probably illegally. In the meantime, the real issues surrounding us as a nation, and people, goes on, and politicians don't really give a rat's arse. And they wonder why we figure our system is broken!

Another reason many of us are completely burnt out with politics. I despise the campaign ads that attack. I want to hear about a plan, not about how horrible the other cadidate is. How are we going to fix this country and what's the strategic plan moving forward?

Exactly!
What adds to the problem is that neither side seems to have a real plan to guide the nation.
They just pick at "hot-issues" and never get to the meat of what's needed to change our direction.
I seriously believe the reason for it is that neither side wants to take a chance of rankling those who have deep enough pockets to get them elected.

I was hanging out in a casino in Nevada and a guy that used to work with Harry Reid said that Harry was a dedicated Communist in the late 60's and used to build bombs in his basement of his mother's house in the early 1970's for anti-government groups to use in their guerilla campaigns against the Vietnam War.
This is fact because someone told me.

If romney was smart, he by his own words had tax papers already copied and ready to turn over for many more than the last two years, to Congress? so if he has nothing to hide and no extra work to prepare them now,, why not put an end to the lies and BS and just turn them over? Really what does he and his group think that they can or will benifit by not producing what they were so-called ready to show before? Unless it was a bluff and dumb -a Romney got called on it.

Why would a private citizen turn over taxpapers to the Senate? He wasn't up for any confirmation hearing.
I agree with Romney's sentiment when it comes to addressing Harry Reid's Senate, "&^%$ 'em."

Obama said he going to use public funding following the Democratic Convention in 2008, then declined.
People can't change their mind in America or does Central Planning need to be notified and approve any changes resulting from having evolving thoughts?

It was a foolish statement on his part, because he thought the Republicans would follow suit.
There is no honor in politics. We all know that.

Obama said he going to use public funding following the Democratic Convention in 2008, then declined. People can't change their mind in America or does Central Planning need to be notified and approve any changes resulting from having evolving thoughts? people do it all the time,,but a person who is running for the biggest postion in America(Political) and is a PUBLIC SERVENT, is under a closer eye. Plus, He must never have thought this whole thing out. he should have thought about somebody whining about why he will not just show them the filed returns and be done with it. Unless it just adds more reasonable fuel to the fire. (if they were "evolving thoughts, he would have figured out the back lash if he refused to show simple filed tax returns) I could care less about how much a person makes,,, but importantly,, HOW? WHY SHOULD A MULTIMILLIONAIRES PAY LESS TAX THAN A POOR OR MIDDLE CLASS ANYWAY? FLAT TAX IS SO VERY CLOSE TO BEING FAIR FOR ALL. AND i ALSO READ IN ONE OF YOUR POSTS ,,,AND i AGREE, I DISLIKE THE WAY government HANDS OUT FREE HELP TO THE PEOPLE WHO DO NOT WISH TO TRULEY EARN A LIVING BUT THEY WORK THE SYSTEM. I think you first MUST MAINTAIN a steady 40 hour week job and then get assistence not live of of the many hand outs for years. THAT IS ALL THE FAULT of the politications who make the laws with all the wishy washy jabber around a good thought that make sure the rich can get there hands to obtain more money for them. do you know that ever member in Congress that is called the chairman or head or whatever you wish to call it of a commitee gets PAID BIG BUCKS TO CHAIR IT? they make them up to get more cash from the tax payer. the working majority.

Why did Obama change his mind? The answer is simple. He wouldn't have stood a chance getting elected, had he not opted out of the restricted campaign money.
The Republicans decided they would throw endless millions into their campaigns through PACs. The idea being pretty much like the Nazi belief, that if you tell a lie long enough, people will believe it.
To offset that message, the Dems had no choice but spend millions in countering the misinformation, and in fact, creating their own misinformation about McCain, because they needed a counterweight against the smears against Obama.
It doesn't just happen between the two parties. It happens within them, with unbelievable charges being thrown around like it didn't matter how true the statements were.
I think about the smears that were directed against Romney by Gingrich, and how Gingrich stated that the "worst" possible candidate for the Presidency in either party would be Romney.
Yet, when asked if he'd support Romney, if he wont the primaries, he said he'd support him.
Where's the credibility of person in any of that? Where does this total lack of truth and honesty become acceptable?
It isn't just on the right. It's on the left too.

The question you need to ask yourself is how much standing does Obama have if Newt says Romney totally sucks, but will support him over that loser, Barry Sotero.
You're bitching about the rich having tax breaks when 53 percent of Americans don't pay income tax, this would include the middle class.
If most middle class don't have to pay income taxes, I really don't think that is unfairl versus the wealthy who pay in millions to support Central Planning.

I'm still trying to figure out how you blindly believe that the upper !% of the food chain is going to create jobs, and make things better in the US, if they "keep" the gift tax handed to them by Bush.
It hasn't done any of that yet, but you still believe? Are you that blind to reality?
