This really DOES NOT surprise me because Romney enjoys being associated with criminals. Iowa man in Romney video did jail time for assault of a peace officerJason Clausen, a Mason City, Iowa, man featured in Mitt Romney's new video featuring unemployed people has a lengthy rap sheet and served ten days in jail for "assault on a peace officer," public records show. Clause is seen in the video "A few of the 23 million" saying, "When the economy went bad a month after my divorce, I lost my job, I lost my house." He and his wife filed for a dissolution of their marriage, records show, in January 2009, months after the economy started tanking. According to public records, a Jason Clausen with his birthdate was found guilty of "assault on peace officers and others" on Feb. 28, 2005. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail, with 110 of those days suspended. He was given 730 days of probation and paid $845 in fines, records show. Iowa Department of Corrections records show he was on probation for "a serious misdemeanor" until April 3, 2006.The records show Clausen had nearly 20 busts, tickets or fines, a number of them traffic infractions related to things like driving while intoxicated, or with a suspended license. Some were related to accidents, others to driving without seat belts. www.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2012/05/records-iowa-man-in-romney-video-did-jail-time-for-123561.html

Ouch! I can see why he was unemployed, and his wife dumped him.
I'm not going to hold Romney culpable for the man's record. He didn't cause it, and had nothing to do with it.
I don't think their people are any worse at not discovering background problems than the left. It goes with the territory.

Well, how about this? Here Are The Juicy Details From The Gay Sex Scandal That's Rocking Mitt Romney's CampaignMitt Romney's squeaky-clean presidential campaign has become embroiled in a rare scandal this week, amid reports that its Arizona campaign chairman — and the face of Romney's hardline immigration stance — was embroiled in a gay sex scandal with an alleged illegal immigrant. In what is definitely one of the more salacious plot twists of the 2012 race, Arizona's Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu abruptly resigned from the Romney campaign this weekend in the wake of allegations that he threatened to have his former boyfriend deported if news of their affair went public. articles.businessinsider.com/2012-02-21/politics/31081984_1_romney-camp-mitt-romney-county-sheriff-paul-babeu
