Sooooo, my son informed me that for a little over $300, I could get the NFL Sunday ticket and could drop Direct TV. In addition, I qualify to receive a $500 Visa Gift Card to go back to Verizon, receive the triple bundle (phone, internet, cable) for $114/month, get Showtime, Cinemax, Epix and other premium Channels for free for 2 years, additional premium channels 50% off for one year... Soooo on June 1, 2012, I made the switch. Today, Verizon told me that for $15/month I could switch from 35 to 75 megs on the Internet, receive Internet Security Protection and receive a $100 gift card. This service is gonna cost only $80 for the first year, since I am getting a $100 gift card. Great deal, since the Internet never seems to be fast enough.

Then, when the deal wears off, sticker shock sets in, and the contract is in place, where they own you.
What I'm saying is that there is no free lunch!

I know, but I had Verizon FIOS before and really enjoyed the package. However, I had to go back to Direct TV because of the NFL Sunday Ticket which Verizon did not have. I still remember how PISSED I was when the Packers were playing the Saints last year and I missed one full quarter because clouds blocked reception to my dish. NOW, I can operate a Sony Playstation 3 through Verizon FIOS and DO NOT have to worry about losing the picture.

I just move my TV sets and controllers from Wisconsin to Illinois, and don't miss a beat! ;D
Of course, if we head south this winter, I'm going to have to do something to get the games. It will depend on where we are, but there is one thing that's important.
I never miss a game on TV, no matter where I am!

Direct TV wanted me to pay $50/month for its basic package + $200/year for the NFL Sunday Ticket. However, through Sony Playstation 3, I only have to pay approx. $300 and I receive NFL Sunday Ticket.

Since I switched to Directv I have had only 1 issue and that was during a deluge of rain that lasted 10 minutes and my signal came back. I like what I have and will be purchasing the Sunday Ticket as this was a main reason I got Directv. Even though I get all the Packer games, I like to watch what I want for the doubleheader games and not what my local affiliate decides will make the most money for them

they are giving out discounts on the NFL package, they lost lots of people last two years because of the games you actully need to use Directv for to see your team, the blackout rule means you just switch to the station from where they broadcast your team NBC, ,etc, they pick it up from the part of the country it is shown divert you to the channel number. all that you can do with a dish but by giving us the discount, it makes live easier!!
