now we may get new refs for at least preseason!. the NFL claims they make to much money for being just part time refs. the ave years of experence for the refs today is 10 plus years. what do you all feel should or could be done about the refs? Do we need full time refs? Will the new group of refs they are now training and hiring be almost as good as the old ones? Or will they really mess things up with to many calls/or not calling enough? What say you all?

Replacing the existing officials is foolish. I think they do a fairly decent job. If you have too many new hires, you're going to have a lot of bad calls for at least one season.

Tis the NFL PR game of us vs. them. Interesting how much spin is placed by big organizations against a group of people. The NFL's pursuit for more money, power and control..STRIKES AGAIN. I mean, everytime that the NFL wants to pay the least and profit the most, the NFL does a PR spin. Tis especially sad when the NFL plays STUPID re concussions. Here is the refs side. The NFL Referees Association is disputing a claim by the league that the officials threatened to take a strike vote after their contract expired.Mike Arnold, counsel for the officials, says Tuesday that claim is "patently false." "The NFLRA has never threatened to strike," Arnold said. "After repeated references by the NFL during negotiations regarding its plans to obtain replacement officials, the NFLRA briefed its members at its annual meeting on April 21, 2012. No strike vote was taken at the meeting. www.businessweek.com/ap/2012-06/D9V7O7I00.htm

I remember when they used replacement officials in the past. The games were totally screwed up.
