Robert Hegyes, the actor best known for playing Jewish Puerto Rican student Juan Epstein on the 1970s TV show "Welcome Back Kotter" has died. He was 60.

Tis a shame. I wonder whether Travolta or any of the sweat hogs will attend his funeral.

They probably will. For most of them, being on Kotter was the highlight of their career. Funny thing is, I don't think any of them were very good actors. It was one of those shows that seemed to be shot with only one take per scene. There were a lot of them in those days.
