I hate buying something then finding out it has a built in defect that the company doesn't back. I have a TV set like that. It's been sitting on the shelf for nearly three years because of it, and now I'm mad.
First of all, don't buy a Westinghouse TV, regardless of price, or any other BS that makes it sound like a "real deal." Chances are, you may have bought a lemon, and there are models where all of them are lemons.
To be honest, I'd never buy anything with the Westinghouse name on it again, just because of this one product. They actually continued manufacturing and selling these TVs, despite the fact they knew the damned things were defective, and wouldn't last more than a year, because of it!
That should be considered fraud in my book.
Anyhow, I'm going to tear the TV apart today, and try to fix it. With any luck, I might be able to do it, and when I'm done, have an extra HD TV that I can set on my computer desk next to my computer, and enjoy HD TV while computing.
I kind of like the white noise, and being able to keep up with shows I missed.
