When I took typing, in high school, I believe the teacher told us that there were two spaces after each period. So, that's what I used for years - two spaces.
That changed, or should I say; "I changed." I began using one space, because an editor told me that one was correct, not two.
Still, I wondered about it. I was drawn to this article because of it. Now, please note, I've used one space in this text until now. There are two spaces after that last period! Just honoring my old typing teacher.
