The Denver broncos, are trying to be nice to manning, by not releasing him out right, Giving him a shot to retire. BUT,,,, It is highly rumored that Manning wants to play this coming year. What a fool,, He has all this college scandals popping up and he is not a starting QB any more, But his ego (he thinks he won the S.B.) wants to play again, I want to see what dumb team will pick him and a huge contract up, and not have a good offensive team to hand to him. He will be ave at best if not horrible. his wimpy arm, and lack of mobility will cause any 8-8 team to lose more than 8 games. I just wish he would retire while a winner, even though that is close.

If Manning is offered a shot somewhere, he'll probably take it. Of course it would be a team that could complement his skill package.
I'm not certain any team fits that bill, and is a contender.

manning should just call it career. he;d need to go 14-2 to get to 200 career wins- hes tied with Brett for most with 186- and his arm strength- which was never great to begin with- is gone. he can barely complete a pass over 10 yards. the Denver D won the super Bowl, not Peyton. Peyton just had to not turn the ball over 5 times.

I guess he feels he needs to try to add to his legacy by trying to obtain some more records. I can't believe anyone would take him based on his lackluster performance this year. He looked all pro against the Packers, but so did a lot of other average QB's during that horrible stretch.

There are teams out there that might give him a shot, if for no other reason than to fill the seats in their stadiums. Nobody should believe the hype that all stadiums are full. You can buy tickets at a lot of venues simply by going up to the box office before game time.
Granted, these aren't the best seats, but 10,000 seats at about $75 a pop is still $750,000 more revenue for at least 8 games, so we're talking $6 mill for seats, and another !!! for food, etc, as well as the "novelty shirt" with Manning and his number on it. That alone could be worth millions.
Yup! Someone will probably bite. How about the Vikings?

Well, Manning has not taken the broncos Physical. So he must see that they are letting him go elsewhere. They offered Oswellier 45 million in three years. That means manning not saying anything about playing or retiring is playing low ball with Denver. Not a nice thing to do when Denver is trying to let manning go the with respect. Too bad manning stills thinks he can play. I feel badly for any team that signs him as a starter. they will regret it. He has no arm and never could run and throw. running is tough enough for him. oh well,

Peyton has announced his retirement, something he should have done after the Super Bowl imo.
