How many times has it been said on this board that our leaders are not overly intelligent. Most don't understand economics anyway disregarding the simplicity that jobs create wealth.

Didn't I hear that GM is close to opening a new plant in China? Doesn't it make you feel good all the bailout money that went to them and that's how its re-paid. I know that Kenosha was bending over backwards trying to keep their GM plant open and with stimulus money to revamp it, it could have stayed open. I will never buy another GM vehicle. I am done with them.

Don't us taxpayers own GM? I think us stock holders better have a vote on this.

You guys are all talking around the central problem with everything in Washington!! It is that we have all elected a bunch of "representatives" that don't represent us!!! They throw us bones here and there and control our behavior with stupid ass programs like Cash for Clunkers and other TEMPORARY stimulus non-sense. Reports are out that housing starts are down...jee who would have ever seen that coming??!?!? The stupid First time home buyer credit is fading fast...so now everything slides back! It is all fake...puffed up non-sense that will get us no where but further in the hole!!
Washington (R's & D's) talks down to us...they lie boldly to our faces and they count on our ignorance. When they are caught they make up phoney excuses and more lies to push aside any questioning of their actions, and they rely on us getting disenfranchised and giving up. Well things have to change!!! I believe more and more people are becoming wise to the game that has been played by both sides for decades. The R's screwed it up the last 8 years so let's switch to the D's...crap they are idiots too! So is switching back to R's going to do anything?? Not if it is the same old R's that give lip service to people and then do the opposite of what they say once they enter the city limits of D.C. We must as a nation start voting for people and not parties!
For the next election we all have to do more homework than we ever have before. We need to investigate all candidates, and if you find one that fits your values and beliefs...go support the heck out of them!! Who cares who they are...This isn't Bears vs Packers....we are all supposed to be on the same team! We just need to go find the best free agents and maybe some rookies to get things fixed and moving in the right direction again!!!
