Ouch! I guess this puts most of us in our place. The best ground coffee is one that's half the price of the expensive ones. Since I'm a coffee freak, and have known for a long time that it ain't the price, but the beans and processing, I had a hunch this would happen in testing, but couldn't be certain. I guess we can tell Juan Valdez it's time for him to look for an "alternate crop," or jump on board with the winner, and grow their type of beans! shopping.yahoo.com/articles/yshoppingarticles/204/consumer-reports-picks-the-best-cup-o-brew

My favorites: Alterrra, Dunkin Donuts, 8 O'Clock; all whole bean. I grind my own.

As a kid I used to chew/eat coffee right out of the container.... Cup of ground coffee and I was ready to cause all sorts of trouble.

Sorry Fran! I really should have added that to the list as well, even though it wasn't on the top sales list. It's a growing choice.

I drink Folgers Dark Roast which wasn't an option. I like a coffee that is full body with lots of sugar.

Based on this poll, most of our responding posters don't drink one of the ten most purchased coffees. Since Eight O'clock is considered the best tasting, we really miss the boat.

I wish I could get into Coffee but I just can't. I work back to back 16 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays and I am drinking soda at 6am for the caffeine lol. People look at me like I'm nuts.

It sounds to me like you're a candidate for Jolt or Red Bull.
But those are only temporary jolts of energy. When you crash, you crash.

I actually stay away from energy drinks because of the crash, and the fact that they are just not good for you. Not that Soda is that much better. I usually have a diet coke in the morning and than at about 4:00 for the second wind. Due to going to school and my sleeping schedule moving around a lot sometimes I only get three hours before the sat shift, so I can become a zombie at the end of the night lol.
