What a surprise... Brett Favre has brought up the "I'm not sure I'll be playing next season talk" again....
Not the time to bring this up Brett... Your team is in a fight for your playoff lives.....
At least it's not associated with the Packers this year... This year he can hold the Jets fans hostage

Brett needs two starts next year to break Jim Marshall's alltime consecutive games started streak. He'll play next year.. bank on it..

But with who? I am not so sure I see him back with Jets. With the Vikings? I think playing in a dome would benefit him. Lately he hasn't looked so good.

He's under contract with the Jets for the rest of his contract. the Jets assumed the remainder of his contract when we traded him. he has 2 years left on it.

I doubt if the Jets fans care right now. All they want to see is their team in the playoffs.
Its just a pity we are not in the same position as the Jets right now.

Not trying to discredit you, snowpack, but I cannot imagine that any organization would simply release a player of this caliber (see Green Bay 2008). After providing Favre with the financial compensation and the Packers with a 2nd round draft choice, they would want more than 1-season as return on that level of investment -- I believe.

The Jets front office did say that they'd release Favre from the last year of his contract if he asked to be released.
That came up early on, when they were trying to get him to join them.

I still don't believe it would happen. Unless, Brett went through the media and put enormous amounts of pressure on the JETS organization to make a decision. Good thing for them that's not in Brett's playbook.

I haven't really watched as much of Favre as I thought I would have this year, but from what I have seen; I think he doesn't mind being a jet. I think he will want to stay. No one wants to learn a new system at his age for the second straight year.

I am sure that Jets fans are PISSED with Favre and "I'm not sure I'll be playing next season talk" after losing 13-3 today against the Seahawks. Favre was 18-37, 187 yards and TWO interceptions.
He can further prove to Jets fans that he does not give a crap, when he loses to Pennington and the Dolphins at home next week. Remember, the Jets chose Favre over Pennington and the only thing that Pennington has done is to take a 1-15 team to a 10-5 record. Also, Pennington is currently the SECOND best qb in the NFL based on his 96.4 qb rating. Rodgers is ranked 8th with a 91.8 rating and Favre is a very distant 15th with a mediocre 86.5 rating.

He's not going to get them any madder than those that dislike Favre get when someone says the Packers would probably have been a better team this year if Favre was still in a Packer Uniform.
