IIt doesn't seem to make much difference what police officers do, according to some people, it would be wrong.
What's really wrong is cutting budgets for police forces, putting them further in harm's way.

I would rather have 4 cops sitting in a donut shop taking a break than 4 CEO's golfing for 4 hours doing a work week.(of course they do not do much of anything anyway, they have staff memebers for that then they sign there approval) talk about over paid!

Is it your business what private citizens do?

If you are employed by a company, and turn in hours for your work, and don't actually work, it's called theft.
Why would it be different for a CEO?

None of my business, but just drawing a comparision, at least if the radio goes off or a crime is being commited the cops will respond, the CEo's ,,well what do you think? honestly, they put golf trophies on the office desk and walls. I have seen it. cops put citations for brave acts, and accoplishments if they have an office.

You really don't think CEO's work which is why you are so jaded. CEO's are ousted if they don't perform. They may be playing golf, but more than likely, they are putting together million dollar deals.

Like the CEO Of GE Nardelli , he was let go , given an 8 million to tide him over, got hired at Home depot, failed, they gave him millions to leave, then moved on again to fail. I wondre, when was the last job that you know of that a Middle class employee was hired work for a few years, the business thought he was not doing his job well enough and they gave the guy a few years in pay to help him out? My Uncle was a multi millionaire and I learne d a great deal from him and business, I have seen both the low and the high points of work.

A few years ago, there was a show on TV that showed the movement of top level executives within organizations, and how it was a "good old boy society" that would help each other move around to top level jobs within major corporations.
What they'd do, is hire each other when they lost a job, and insure nobody from "outside" would get in to their circle of control.
They showed the spider web of cross-jobs they had, and how they insured that they'd be the ones who were given huge golden parachutes, knowing full well those protections would be paid.
If I recall correctly, there are something like 1,200 people in that little group, and they control over half the top level jobs in the 500 top corporations of America, and control at least that many at level two in these same organizations.
One of these people, whose face was blanked out, and voice altered, laughingly referred to it as their "union," and how well it worked.
So.... there's more than one form of union.

And that's different from the follwoing how? www.wisegeek.com/what-is-the-dance-of-the-lemons.htmDon't chastise one class of Americans while another class does the same d**n thing, the only difference is that the teachers are paid by taxpayers and its been happening for deaces. Corportions are basically closed systems where it is their income that pays its employees, including CEO's. If that is how much they want to pay the clowns at the top, who cares, the wages aren't taxpayer supported.

the last i knew the consumers who buy the product from the corps. are tax payers.
Yes if the CEO and the Board choose to pay themselves huge salarys, bonus, stock defered, free housing, car transportation, free airplanes, free cooks , all while they cut down on the employees health care cost making them pay more or get less, or they just do not maintain buildings equipment, build new places in the USA, cut spending on new tech. close plants and send the jobs over seas. the business is always getting Government grants, loans, free tax relief for coming to a state or city. but none of that is tax money?? I know a lot of teachers here, they get 23,000 ayear to 60,000, how much does your CEO get? what does he do that really dictates he be paid so high? I know the correct answer, but i also realize you do not.

Dude! Those "taxpayers" choose to purchase a company's product. Try applying that premise to paying taxes. Oh I will pay property taxes, but I really don't have taste for income taxes this year. Why does the President get paid only $400,000 dollars a year when most state that the long hours and the stress are worth much more. Many of these large corporations are multi-national involving billions of dollars, thousands of families and humongous amounts of stress that is detrimental to the peronal lives of those who run these companies. And you want to compare that to a 30 student class room how?
