HappyPacker. I read the first line of your diatribe and quit. You start out with a falesehood, so garbage in, garbage out. Clinton, though I love him to death, did not have a surplus. It was smoke and mirrors using the SS Trust fund, etc. EDIT: Okay I went back and continued reading the second line. Again I had to quit; that sentence is wrong as well.  Do I dare go back and read the third sentence?  |

Yes, but there was a SS trust fund established, and Bush was the one that called it a "surplus," and passed on the tax cut to the wealthy.
It was your own candidate who called it surplus, so get used to hearing it.
And... by the way... he pissed it away!

I watched the Republicans, under Bush, pass on huge tax breaks to the wealthy, eliminate the surplus, and turn this country into a nation that was irresponsible, and out of control. Now you want to blame that on Clinton? You should help Texans "rewrite history," showing how the South won the Civil War, and eliminating all references to slavery, and mistreatment of Mexicans and Indians. In Texas, the name Darwin is a 4 letter word, and they don't want it spoken in their schools.  |

If y'all recall, Republicans DID NOT give Clinton ANY credit re the surplus, but instead told everybody that Clinton benefit from the fallout from both the Reagan and Bush administrations.

The bottom line is to produce during the time that you are president.

I merely stated he didn't have a surplus at the end of his term as happycrapper tried asserting. Yes, you did watch Bush pass on tax cuts, but these tax cuts were for all Americans, if not, why would Obama try perserving them for those making 250,000 or less. And TW, mistreatment of Mexicans and Indians gave you a job as a cop and asserting Darwin is a four letter word gives Amoeba his.
