I hope they find a way to keep Peppers next year. I've watched him play and he's done an amazing job, despite being in a somewhat limited role. A guy who makes as much happen as he does, belongs on this team, if they can afford him.
Jordy Nelson will end up #2 all time on the Packers for TD receptions. He deserves to be there. Hutson deserves to be #1. He was by far the best for his era, and possibly the best of all time. People can point out athletic ability, etc, but there's so much that's changed in the game that they don't understand. As an example, Hutson did the kicking, held the Packer record of 823 points for years, and had 30 INTs as a safety. Guys played the entire game in his era, making his TD catch total even more impressive, because he never got a break from play.
Another issue from that era. They only played 10 games a year, so they only had 62.5% of the potential games per season, to make their marks. Hutson was very special.
On a personal note, I met him, and bought a new car from him. In fact he drove it before I did, while I sat in the passenger seat. I went to his dealership in Racine several times after I bought the car, and each time, I sat with him and had a cup of coffee, while we talked football. The guy was one of the nicest people to play the game. Jordy is cut from the same cloth. My Doctor, in Austin, TX, is Jordy's Dad's Cousin. He, by the way, went from being a Cowboys fan to a Packer fan.

I think Jordy, if he stays healthy, will break Hutsons Mark. its a yestament to how good Hutson was, that it topok over 40 years for someone to break his record - Steve Largent. of course Rice tops them all, this 197 Td catches is never going to be broken, Randy Moss is #2 and hes more than 40 behind at 156. i think that iof Jordy gets to 100 Td catches, he should get into Canton> gettiong a second ring would help his case.

I think Jordy hangs it up in three years. He wants to farm, and when football is no longer fun, he's going to walk away. No records, nor accolades, matter to him. He's a low profile kind of guy who doesn't like being in the limelight.
He was always happy having Driver in the spotlight so he could operate without fanfare. Just my opinion.

Rodgers is now 3 TDs away from 300 for his career, and had his second 40 -TD season, tied for the most in NFL history, aliong with Drew brees, Peyton Manning and Dan Marino. this is the 12th time a QB has thrown for 40 Tds in a year

I think he tops the 40 total again next year. If they don't find enough RB strength to change that culture, it's going to leave Aaron little choice but to put it up.

right now i would say they need to find two DB's a big time running back and a top pass rusher. going to be some names going next season, just cannot afford the cap/cost. need to really improve the defense. Offense looks good except for running back. all others has depth and upside with vets to sprinkle in.

We will definitely be drafting at CB, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Thompson goes off page and grabs a top FA CB to insure we have leadership at that position. It would have to be someone like Charles Woodson, who brought something special to the team.
Thompson is smart enough to realize you can only do so much with the draft.

thing is what top Fa is going to be out there? plus remember we need to be under cap to OVERPAY this top vet CB. I think TT for years has used the draft and FA fairly well, although he has overpaid more for players who just did not work out. remember the two offensive linemen we needed and he paid for two that never played well or lasted the season? and the Center that was an all pro and he never made it through the year. Woodson was the only real bargain that TT got I think. I wish TT would have NOT let both Williams and Hayward go. he could have let somebody else go, and kept him as a insurance type player. ( I know he was getting hurt ) look at Will Blackmon to, he let him go to early i thought. I thought TT just did not hit on enough FA;s for him to keep trying, It seems the Draft and develop works best for him

I think Peppers was a good FA. Kuhn was a FA. There are guys out there who would play for GB at a little less than they would elsewhere. If Thompson and McCarthy sense their window of opportunity is closing on them, they will do what needs to be done to win now, and not worry about what happens down the road. A contract with guaranteed money spread over 5 years can convince a lot of players to jump at the chance. If they figure they're gone at that point, Thompson would pull the trigger on it in a heart beat.
There are usually several solid CBs out there on the market. We'll see what happens.

Peanut Tillman wants to play! Maybe,,, i think he is just having some clean fun, but you never know he has had a season to rehab the ACL and maybe he could at least coach and show our DB,s Linebackers how to punch the ball out for some turn overs!!! Ha Ha!

added a new category for aaron, hes just over 2200 away from 40000 yards for his career. updated stats for other catergory. rodges was sacked for the 350th time today, and Jordy moved into 2nd on the WR Td list.
